The Central Australian Arts Sector
This sector comprises:
- a large population of active Aboriginal artists
- up to 40 not for profit Aboriginal art centres located in Alice Springs and many remote communities
- an increasing number of commercial art galleries in Alice Springs, specialising in Aboriginal Art with significant levels of locally made Aboriginal art work freighted to interstate and international galleries
- a growing cohort of professional non-Aboriginal artists slowly gaining national recognition / profile
- escalating national recognition for contemporary practice involving cross-cultural collaborations linked to place
- an active community of amateur and semi-professional non-Aboriginal artists, across a range of art forms
- a developing professional arts sector within artform specialist not for profit (NFP) arts organisations
- a strong volunteer arts sector with both emerging and established not for profit groups (some with 30yr histories)
- a high proportion of arts administrators per capita due to employment in Aboriginal and other NFP arts and community organisations
In addition to the above markets RHA also provides services to:

- Interstate and international visitors, audiences & agencies
